How to Create UTM-tagged links
🔗 Base Website URL
This part of the link never changes:
🧩 UTM Parameters Explained
To track where each visitor is coming from, you’ll add the following tags to the end of the URL:
utm_source= → The platform or app the traffic is coming from
(e.g. instagram, facebook, tiktok)
utm_medium= → The type of traffic
(e.g. influencer, story, post, bio)
utm_campaign= → The name of the campaign
(e.g. launch2025, promo_drop)
utm_content= → (Optional) Used to identify the specific influencer or post
(e.g. adriana_chornenka, reel_1, alex_springlaunch)
🛠 How to Build the Link
Start with the base URL
Add a ? and your first tag:
https://emcsoft.io/?utm_source=instagram
Add additional tags using & between each:
✅ Important Notes
1. Use ? before the first UTM tag
2. Use & between each tag
3. Don’t use spaces — instead use _ or –
4. You can personalize any of the tag values however you’d like — the tracking will still work
5. The script we’re adding to your website will automatically carry these tags into the Bitrix24 CRM form when someone clicks “Apply”
